Russian Government's scholarships for Namibians

  The Embassy of Russia in Namibia is pleased to inform all Namibian citizens that the Russian Government offers scholarships for studies in Russian higher education institutions in the academic year 2024/25.

Registration for Studies under the Russian Government Scholarship program for 2024/2025 academic year is open from September 1 till November 1, 2023.

IMPORTANT NOTICE! Candidates should apply on the website https://education-in-russia.com/ (choose English language).

I. WHO CAN APPLY?

• Students who have completed secondary school and colleges

• Graduates with a Bachelor (Undergraduate) Degree for those want to study Masters

• Graduates with a Master Degree for those want to study PhD

II. WHICH EXPENSES ARE COVERED?

The Russian Government scholarship provides: 

• Free tuition on the chosen specialty for the entire study period 

The scholarship does not cover: 

• International travel to and from Russia 

• Local transfers

• Living expenses and meals

• Accommodation 

• Medical insurance while in Russia

III. TO PARTICIPATE IN THE COMPETITIVE SELECTION EACH CANDIDATE NEEDS TO:

1. Register on the website https://education-in-russia.com/.

2. Fill in the electronic application form and indicate: 

- family name, first name;

- date of birth;

- address of residence;

- contact details;

- passport data;

- level of education you have;

- desired educational program;

- desired educational organizations; 

- Russian language knowledge/necessity of preparatory course of Russian language (all education will be in RUSSIAN). 

3. Attach copies of the following documents: 

- application form (completed online, printed and then signed and dated by the applicant personally);

- consent for processing of personal data (printed and then signed and dated by the applicant personally, both in Russian and in English languages); 

- valid passport;

- educational certificates;

- candidates applying for PhD degree should also provide the research paper on the subject of a future study and, if available, a list of published scientific articles.

IMPORTANT NOTICE! Do not forget to click the button SUBMIT APPLICATION after you fill in all necessary information and download documents for the First Stage.

IV. Selected candidates will be contacted by the Embassy`s representative and should, in the shortest possible time, additionally upload on the website https://education-in-russia.com/ copies of the following documents for the Second Stage: 

- Russian translation of valid passport certified by the Consular section of the Russian Embassy; 

- Russian translation of the educational certificate certified by the Consular section of the Russian Embassy; 

- medical certificate (check-up + X-RAY) confirming that the applicant does not have any contraindications to study in Russia;

- HIV + HEPATHIS B/C negative certificates (with Russian translation)
